The Corporate Vice President of Marketing of Blendhub, Patrick Berry, will participate as a speaker in the “Food Hydrocolloid Conference 2014”. The event will take place in Edinburgh from the 27th to 29th of April.

Patrick Berry, will explain how Blendhub designed and implemented a new business model for the ingredients industry based on the new economic category of SMART Powder Blends that is disrupting the food powder value chain.

SMART Powder Blends is a way of bringing transparency to the food powder value chain to optimize it and produce better, safer and cheaper food products. The new category helps raw material producers and food producers to create sustainable products and directly benefits the final consumer.

The Food Hydrocolloid Conference 2014 focuses on three keys to hydrocolloid success: Sustainable, Green and Good.

“Sustainable” remains a key element in the entire food ingredient supply chain and hydrocolloids are ideally suited to benefit from this movement. “Green” represents going back to basic natural elements and “Good” is the ultimate goal of the industry when referring to consumers.
